Lil Rounds - The Rose

Lil Rounds sang a gospel version of Bette Midler's “The Rose”. It didn't really work for me. I mean.. it was okay. But I think she will have issues getting through tomorrow night's vote.

Video and MP3 coming soon..

Kris Allen - Falling Slowly

Kris sang Glen Hansard's Falling Slowly from the "Once" soundtrack. I agree with Quintin in that he was obviously sing a song that meant something to him. Very nice job.

Video and MP3 links coming soon.

Danny Gokey - Endless Love

Danny Gokey sang Diana Ross and Lionel Richie's Endless love. Nice version. Sounded heart-felt.

Video and MP3 links coming soon.

Matt Giraud - To Really Love a Woman

Matt Giraud sang Bryan Adams' “To Really Love a Woman”. He played piano and did a good job with it. He sounded good with the whole orchestra. Judges did not agree with me.

Video and MP3 coming soon.

Adam Lambert - Born to be Wild

Adam sang a funky version of Steppenwolf's Born to be Wild. Typical Adam Lambert. He is the one to beat in this year's American Idol. It was a rocking performance.

Video and MP3 coming here.

Anoop Desai - Everything I Do

Anoop sang by Bryan Adam's Everything I do. Quentin Tarantino was funny telling how to sing the song. Once again... these movie songs are so common... so played.

Anoop did a good job with it. Very smooth.

Video and MP3 links coming soon.

Allison Iraheta - Don’t Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith

Allison took Aerosmith's “Don’t Want to Miss a Thing" and did an okay job with it. But it is such a boring, over done song. I bet the judges will agree with me. She did fine with it.

Video and MP3 video link coming soon.

Adam Lambert - Mad World

Adam sang a haunting version of Tears For Fear's "Mad World". I still think he is the one to beat for this season. Great performance. He had his moment.

Simon stood to clap. He doesn't give out many standing ovations.

Seen the video? It's worth tracking down.

You can find the video and MP3 here.

Matt Giraud - Part Time Lover

Matt Sang Stevie Wonder's Part Time Lover. It was kind of a slower arrangement but he did a solid job, but it felt like it was dragging.

Judges loved it. I thought it was okay, I guess.

You can judge it for yourself... Track down the video and MP3 here.

Allison Iraheta - I Can’t Make You Love Me

Allison sang Bonnie Raitt's "I Can’t Make You Love Me". She has a big voice and I think she did a good job on the song. She really is a great singer for a 16 year old.

Judges agreed.

Scott MacIntyre - The Search Is Over

Scott performed Survivor's power ballad "The Search is Over". Also over, in my opinion, is Scott's American Idol journey. Scott left his piano and brought out a guitar. I think the song was too big for him. I think he will be in the bottom three.

Here is a video and MP3 of the lack luster performance.

Anoop Desai - True Colors

Anoop chose to sing Cyndi Lauper's True Colors. He sounded smooth, but I really think it was a great song choice. This song still makes me think of a film commercial. Overall, it was not a horrible performance.

You should track down the video for yourself. You can find the video and mp3 here.

Kris Allen - All She Wants To Do Is Dance

Kris Allen performed Don Henley's "All She Wants To Do Is Dance".  This is one of those songs that will not ever be better than the original.  Kris sang a funky version that wasn't that bad.  He played his guitar surrounded by harem of girls.
I don't think he pulled it off.  Judges were split.

You can find the video and MP3 here.

Danny Gokey - Stand by me

Danny performed a sleepy version of Stand by Me.  It was a little hokey for my taste and never really got off the ground.  Just really a ho-hum performance.

Penn Jillette on Larry King

A smart, charismatic president is the worst thing to have in Penn Jillette's view. He thinks is a horrible thing when the entire American population is behind the president.

Interesting view, but I don't think I agree.
